Cook Inlet natural gas production averaged 205,653 thousand cubic feet per day in March, down 924 mcf, 0.5%, from a February average of 206,568 mcf per day and down 4.4% from a March 2023 average of 215,068 mcf per day.

Volumes are calculated from Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission data, reported on a month-delay basis. For natural gas AOGCC reports volumes in thousands of cubic feet, mcf.

Seven large fields accounted for 86.7% of inlet gas production in March.

The Hilcorp Alaska-operated Beluga River field averaged 45,023 mcf per day in March, 21.9% of the inlet total, up 4,893 mcf per day, 12.2%, from a February average of 40,130 mcf per day and up 20.8% from a March 2023 average of 37,284 mcf per day. Chugach Electric Association is the majority working interest owner at Beluga.

Hilcorp's North Cook Inlet averaged 43,012 mcf per day in March, 20.9% of inlet production, down 2,136 mcf per day, 4.7%, from a February average of 45,148 mcf per day but up 5.8% from a March 2023 average of 40,674 mcf per day.

Hilcorp's Ninilchik averaged 36,207 mcf per day, 17.6% of the total, down 2,530 mcf per day, 6.5%, from a February average of 38,736 mcf per day and down 21.6% from a March 2023 average of 46,167 mcf per day.

Hilcorp's Kenai field averaged 18,188 mcf per day in March, 8.8% of the inlet total, down 898 mcf per day, 4.7%, from a February total of 19,087 mcf per day and down 16% from a March 2023 average of 21,642 mcf per day.

Hilcorp's McArthur River averaged 12,350 mcf per day, 6% of the total, down 399 mcf per day, 3.1%, from a February total of 12,749 mcf per day and down 21.7% from a March 2023 average of 15,773 mcf per day.

Hilcorp's Beaver Creek averaged 11,911 mcf per day in March, 5.8% of the inlet total, up 2,088 mcf per day, 21.3%, from a February average of 9,823 mcf per day and up 45.7% from a March 2023 average of 8,176 mcf per day.

Furie's Kitchen Lights averaged 11,582 mcf per day in March, 5.6% of the total, down 650 mcf per day, 5.3%, from a February total of 12,232 mcf per day but up 11.8% from a March 2023 average of 10,362 mcf per day.

Production from 14 smaller fields made up the remaining 13.3% of inlet natural gas production in March.

Hilcorp's Swanson River averaged 5,191 mcf per day in March, down 1,301 mcf per day, 20%, from a February average of 6,492 mcf per day and down 2.2% from a March 2023 average of 5,309 mcf per day.

Hilcorp's Cannery Loop averaged 4,952 mcf per day in March, down 219 mcf per day, 4.2%, from a February average of 5,172 mcf per day and down 16.7% from a March 2023 average of 5,947 mcf per day.

Hilcorp's Deep Creek averaged 3,448 mcf per day in March, up 46 mcf per day, 1.4%, from a February average of 3,402 mcf per day but down 13.6% from a March 2023 average of 3,989 mcf per day.

Hilcorp's Granite Point averaged 3,023 mcf per day in March, down 63 mcf per day, 2%, from a February average of 3,086 mcf per day and down 7.7% from a March 2023 average of 3,276 mcf per day.

Hilcorp's Ivan River averaged 2,426 mcf per day in March, up 506 mcf per day, 26.3%, from a February average of 1,920 mcf per day but down 68.2% from a March 2023 average of 7,626 mcf per day.

AIX's Kenai Loop averaged 2,057 mcf per day in March, down 99 mcf per day, 4.6%, from a February average of 2,156 mcf per day and down 10.4% from a March 2023 average of 2,295 mcf per day.

Vision Operating's North Fork averaged 1,946 mcf per day in March, down 49 mcf per day, 2.5%, from a February average of 1,995 mcf per day and down 21.4% from a March 2023 average of 2,475 mcf per day.

Hilcorp's Lewis River averaged 1,538 mcf per day in March, down 139 mcf per day, 8.3%, from a February average of 1,677 mcf per day but up 318.6% from a March 2023 average of 367 mcf per day.

BlueCrest's Hansen averaged 1,098 mcf per day in March, up 103 mcf per day, 10.4%, from a February average of 995 mcf per day but down 24.1% from a March 2023 average of 1,446 mcf per day.

Hilcorp's Trading Bay averaged 1,041 mcf per day in March, down 70 mcf per day, 6.3%, from a February average of 1,110 mcf per day and down 20% from a March 2023 average of 1,301 mcf per day.

Cook Inlet Energy's West McArthur River averaged 255 mcf per day in March, up 58 mcf per day, 29.5%, from a February average of 197 mcf per day and up 176.1% from a March 2023 average of 92 mcf per day. CIE is a Glacier Oil and Gas company.

Hilcorp's Nikolaevsk averaged 194 mcf per day in March, up 31 mcf per day, 19.3%, from a February average of 163 mcf per day but down 20.1% from a March 2023 average of 243 mcf per day.

CIE's Redoubt Shoal averaged 175 mcf per day in March, down 1 mcf per day, 0.7%, from a February average of 176 mcf per day but up 32.8% from a March 2023 average of 132 mcf per day.

Amaroq's Nicolai Creek averaged 24 mcf per day in March, down 99 mcf per day, 80.4%, from a February average of 123 mcf per day and down 95.2% from a March 2023 average of 503 mcf per day.

Cook Inlet natural gas production peaked in 1990 at more than 850,000 mcf per day.
