Arctic Directory Dec 2022: Coffman Engineers, Tija Baker, earns engineering license

Coffman Engineers Inc. said Aug. 25 that it is pleased to announce Tija Baker’s achievement on earning her Alaska professional engineering license in mechanical engineering. Baker graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a Bachelor of Science, with a concentration in mechanical engineering. She joined Coffman in 2011 and is also certified as a NACE cathodic protection technician and an American Petroleum Institute 570 piping inspector. Baker manages and performs facility piping corrosion inspection programs for large and small oil and gas companies. She has experience performing corrosion control field engineering support for annual cathodic protection surveys, designing cathodic protection systems for corrosion mitigation

projects and assists in design engineering. She has worked with various oil companies on numerous pipeline projects and has traveled to work throughout rural Alaska, Washington and Hawaii.
