Call for new information for fall sales

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources' Division of Oil and Gas has issued a call for substantial new information for its northern areawide lease sales -- the Beaufort Sea, North Slope and North Slope areawide sales. In the March 19 call the division said sales for these areas are tentatively scheduled for the second half of the year.

Based on the information received, the division will issue supplemental findings or decisions of no substantial new information.

The most recent final best interest findings for these areawide sales were issued in 2018 for the North Slope, in 2019 for the Beaufort Sea and in 2021 for the North Slope Foothills. The division said no supplements have been issued for those sales.

The division is requesting substantial new information on matters listed in Alaska Statutes 38.05.035(g).
