Oil patch bits: Rob Knox appointed president of NANA Worley
Petroleum News
NANA Worley announced March 25 that after an incredible 50-year career in the energy and construction industries, including the last five years leading NANA Worley, Wyche Ford will be retiring from his role as president. Ford's leadership and vision have been instrumental in navigating the company through some of its most challenging times, including the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. His dedication and steady guidance have left a lasting mark on NANA Worley and the industry as a whole.
Ford's journey in Alaska began in the 1970s with the development of Prudhoe Bay and the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System. Over the years, he has shaped the state's oil and gas landscape through leadership positions at ARCO, Alyeska Pipeline, ASRC Energy Services and Fluor. His impact on large-scale projects and strategic growth will be felt for years to come. Ford's last day as president of NANA Worley was March 7.
With Ford's well-earned retirement, Rob Knox has been appointed president of NANA Worley.
Knox joins us with more than 20 years of experience in the energy sector, including over 15 years at Worley. He is a proven leader who fosters high-performing, empowered teams. His experience spans major oil and gas projects across the UK, Europe, Australia and the U.S. Most recently, Knox led the upstream/offshore hookup, commissioning, and brownfield portfolio for Worley's U.S. Gulf Coast business, along with Worley's joint venture within the U.S. Gulf Coast business. Before that, he successfully led a large HUCC project for Worley in the Gulf of Mexico.
Knox and his family have relocated to Anchorage, Alaska, for the NANA Worley role.
As part of NANA North's family of companies, NANA Worley plays a critical role in supporting Alaska's energy industry. The business is well-positioned for continued growth in the years ahead and is delighted to welcome Knox to the team whilst celebrating Ford's remarkable career.
