Bidding open for North Slope fall sales

Online bidding opened Oct. 20 for the state of Alaska’s fall 2022 oil and gas lease sales.

The Alaska Division of Oil and Gas said bidding is being hosted by EnergyNet, with 3,118 tracts on more than 8.3 million acres in the Beaufort Sea, North Slope and North Slope Foothills sale areas.

Sale documents are available on EnergyNet at https://www.energynet.com/.

Bidding closes Nov. 3 at 4 p.m. Anchorage time and winning bids will be published Nov. 9.

A release from the Department of Natural Resources noted that “a multitude of well and seismic data” is available for prospective lessees through DNR’s Division of Geological and Geophysical Surveys with more data to be released in 2023. Public well data is available from the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.
