Coffman Engineers Inc., a multidiscipline consulting engineering firm, said Jan. 10 that it is pleased to announce the appointment of a new general manager, Ben Momblow, PE, in their Anchorage, Alaska office.
Momblow has been appointed as the new general manager in Anchorage, succeeding Tom Looney, PE. Momblow was raised in Eagle River, Alaska, and has over two decades of experience with Coffman, including 15 years working with clients and projects in Alaska and 10 years supporting the development of the Honolulu and Guam offices. His experience spans from detailed design and market development to mentoring colleagues and managing multidiscipline projects.
Tom Looney, the outgoing general manager, has been an electrical engineer with Coffman for 34 years, serving the past 8 years managing the Anchorage office. His leadership, care for staff, and passion for engineering will continue as he supports the Alaska region on a variety of projects and initiatives.
Introducing Momblow as his replacement, Looney said: "Ben Momblow is a natural leader who is passionate about building strong relationships with those around him, including clients, partners and employees. He is deeply committed to our employees' well-being and working with clients to achieve their goals. Ben has both the technical and interpersonal skills, drive to create a positive, successful work environment, and the experience to effectively guide the Anchorage office forward."
As the new Anchorage general manager, Momblow will be supported by Looney over the next few years and is committed to continuing Coffman's high standards in delivering engineering services.
